Our Preschool Education Program

At the Grow Academy in McKinney, Texas, our curriculum allows children to work at their own pace. They are able to exercise their discovery and exploration senses in our learning facilities and age-appropriate playgrounds.

Ready, Set, Go Curriculum

Four-year-old children are often eager to learn new things and make friends. They are also able to do more tasks independently.

Additionally, these kids start realizing that they can form words and sentences. They practice their skills while writing their name and simple words. Four-year-olds also enjoy singing, reciting poems, and sharing stories about their lives.

We take all of this into account within our Ready, Set, Go Curriculum. Our teachers will let your child lead the way as we encourage and guide them.

Mathematics

We’ll teach your child how to count and compare items and groups of objects. Your four-year-old will learn how to make graphs, complete patterns, and measure objects using conventional and non-conventional tools.

Science

This aspect of our Ready, Set, Go curriculum is ideal for naturally inquisitive four-year-olds. Your child will participate in the scientific process by engaging in experiments, making predictions/observations, and collecting data.

We also provide them with opportunities to explore the world around them.

Social and Emotional Development

At four years old, kids begin developing meaningful relationships with others. They also start identifying their emotions. Our teachers encourage students to express their feelings in a safe and loving environment.

We give children the tools needed to resolve conflicts and show empathy to others. Our goal is to equip your child with the skills they need to navigate their world confidently and independently.

Gross and Fine Motor Development

Four-year-old children have increased control of their fine motor skills, using crayons to turn scribbles into letters and words. They can zip, button, and snap their own clothes. Kids also serve themselves, pass food to others, and use utensils to eat.

As students play in our age-appropriate playgrounds, their energy and creativity strengthen their gross motor skills.

Character Education

Introducing children to character traits is essential for furthering their own development. Every month, we focus on specific positive character values, including patience, generosity, and honesty.

Our goal isn’t just to help them better understand society. We want to set them on the road towards becoming caring citizens.
